Patrick is the Director of Legal Services at Hamilton Health Care System (HHCS) in Dalton, Georgia, whose focus is on providing legal guidance to HHCS leadership and medical professionals on a wide-array of legal, regulatory and compliance issues to facilitate the operations of HHCS and its affiliates. Prior to joining HHCS, Patrick was a partner at HunterMaclean in Savannah, Georgia, within the firm's litigation group. His practice focused on business litigation, admiralty, real estate disputes, and transportation and logistics matters. He regularly represented clients in a variety of insurance defense matters ranging from slip-and-falls and premises liability actions to trucking accidents. Patrick further represented Protection and Indemnity Clubs, domestic marine insurers, ship owners and ship charterers in connection with maritime personal injury claims, collisions, bill of lading disputes and cargo damage claims. For several years while at HunterMaclean, Patrick was recognized by his peers in Georgia Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in the field of business litigation and was further recognized by Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” in the areas of commercial litigation and transportation law.Patrick is admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Georgia; and all courts of the State of Georgia.Prior to law school, Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Auburn University before earning his J.D. from the Samford University, Cumberland School of Law where he was awarded multiple Scholar of Merit awards and served as a Judge Abraham Caruthers Teaching Fellow and as an articles editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy.
