East U.S.

• Led a group of over 50 technicians to maintain 2 hour and 4 hour service delivery commitment for 60+ customers across thousands of miles of fiber optic route at hundreds of sites and data centers in the Eastern half of the U.S.• Forecasted and maintained a $5M annual budget while delivering a 40% profit margin. • Increased gross profit margin by 61% in multiple business units.• Established 12 geographically-dispersed hot hands customer spares depots across the Eastern U.S.• Developed and maintained disaster recovery, emergency response, and other contingency plans.• Facilitated interactions between internal operational groups, suppliers, partners, and contractors.

*Responsible for all outside plant functions including cable relocations, hot cuts, attend pre-construction meetings, bid proposals, update as-builts and monitor all construction at or around our fiber optic cable. *Supervision of cable locating personnel to ensure accurate performance.*Work closely with contractors and underground utilities as well as state, county, and local municipalities to ensure cable safety.*Quarterly training of regional employees on emergency fiber optic restoration and use of various OTDR’s.

• Installation and maintenance of Telecom equipment both in house and at customer locations.• Work with technicians, vendors and customers in the field to repair customer problems.• Operation and maintenance of Northern Telecom DMS-250 and DSC 400 digital switches including billing, routing, operational measurements, peripheral modules, SS7, etc.• Operation, provisioning, and maintenance of Tellabs 532 and Titan 5500 Digital Cross-connect System at several area POP sites.• Oversaw all software and hardware upgrades in the Chicago DMS-250 including BCS upgrades, ENET, BRISC, LIM additions, and port expansions.
