I am a final year trainee on the RCPI Higher Specialist Training Program in Occupational Medicine. I have experience with both healthcare occupational medicine having worked 2 years within the HSE, experience within the industrial sector, and am currently gaining experience with the occupational medicine of operational policing as I am currently working with An Garda Siochana. Within my time on the training scheme I have gained experience with assessments of pre-employment medicals, fitness for work assessments, health promotion and health surveillance. I have a strong interest in Health & Wellbeing. I have been an active member of the RCPI health and wellbeing trainee committee since 2020, and have been the Chairperson of the Committee since 2023. Within my role I have created an educational award for trainees to promote workplace wellbeing, and specifically physician wellbeing. I have completed the RCSI online program on the Science of Health & Happiness, an am currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma on Workplace Wellness in Trinity College Dublin. I have a Masters in Healthcare Management from RCSI. I currently coordinate the clinical management meetings within work which includes an internal journal club and meeting to address departmental queries and update clinical guidelines / standard operating procedures.
