Started work as a registration officer with the compilation of dossiers for the projected openeing of a new sterile unit. Moved as a production manager to a small volume sterile facility (Pharmamed Parenterals Limited) ensuring the company increases volume, achieves regulatory compliance, enhances efficiency and drive continuous improvement projects. This was a first for Malta regarding parenteral technology. Responsible for successful manufacturing of Chloramphenicol In Oil Ampoules which was intended for use by UNICEF..The plant managed approximately 23 million ampuoles and 2 million vials.Moved on to solid dosage form and was mainly responsible for the transfer and re-training of employees from the sterile facility to the solid dosage form facility. Had a leading role in the establishment of the first blister packaging facility in Malta and at Actavis Ltd including selection of equipment, training of employees and start-up. Was involved heavily in the upgrade of the Bulebel facility to a state of the art facility approved by most of the regulatory authorities worldwide (Except FDA). Main drive to introduce new products into the site and new equipment including sampling facility, new integrated 800Lt granulation bay, compression machines and coaters. Later on became Managing Director of the site and responsible for completion of a 13 million euro warehousing project at the site. In 2014 was given additional responsibilities of the second site in Malta - an FDA approved site of 1.3 billion tablets. Together with a great team was responsible for the successful launch of the generic Rosuvastatin in the US where the company had market exclusivity for 3 months. Eventually was responsible for the re-structuring of the operations in Malta and closure of the Hal Far facility in 2018 and transfer to new owners. Since 2016 responsible for the integration of the Bulebel site within Teva Industries Limited. Have overseen a number of OPEX projects to improve the competitiveness of the operations in Malta. Participated in a number of Collective Agreement Negotiations and closures of such agreements. Was Board member in a number of Boards including Malta Enterprise, Foundation of Medical Services, Faculty of Science and the Malta Chamber for Commerce, Enterprise and Industry.
