I am a high achieving graduate, passionate about making the world a better place. Empathy is the most important quality a person can possess, and I strive to constantly develop my emotional intelligence so I can best serve the community around me. This is the core that has structured the development of my highly cultivated research skills and sophisticated abilities as a communicator.i have recently completed an honours year in the Department of Government and International Relations at the University of Sydney. My thesis, 'Urban Climate Politics, Multilevel Governance and Political Actors: Climate Action in a Constraining Political Structure' was concerned with the strategies and actions undertaken by progressive and well-resourced local governments in order to respond to climate change, despite the severe limitations that they face constitutionally in the Australian federal system. The underlying and most important value at the centre of all I do is compassion. The world is far too fractious and divided as it is; my aim is to bring a deep respect for the innate humanity and value of all people that I encounter, no matter if we agree or disagree. Understanding and valuing every person is the challenge that I make for myself and that I aspire to bring to every position that I take.I am currently searching for the next step in my journey. I would like to move outside of the research sphere, and actively make a difference in the climate change space that I have studied for the last 12 months. I welcome and relish new opportunities to be part of the change in the world that I want to see.
