My duties included designing jet engine case fixtures for maintenance operations, creating standardised work documents for employees involved in the companies maintenance and operation processes, reviewing and editing company engineering manuals, and assisting engineers with a number of different projects. While working on my placement, I also took part in company kaizen events which reviewed and improved a number the organisations work processes, reducing the maintenance time and costs involved with the jet engine cases that are overhauled.
