I'm an attorney licensed in Tennessee and Illinois, and proud to be SVP, General Counsel for TransCore, LP., based in Nashville. Every day presents new opportunities, and I love working with one of the best Legal teams around to craft solutions for our company and its customers. As GC, I oversee all TransCore's matters relating to law: employment and labor, intellectual property, contracts, insurance, and, on occasion, litigation.In my prior roles practicing with law firms in Chicago and Nashville, and as an assistant general counsel at TransCore, my days were split between litigated disputes and transactional work. I have prosecuted and defensed against hundreds of lawsuits ranging from theft of intellectual property to car accidents to the TCPA. In the other realm of my practice, I routinely negotiate and draft commercial goods and services contracts, tech agreements, such as EULAs and other software licenses, and other cooperative documents, such as teaming agreements.In 2017, 2018, and 2019, the 3 years immediately preceding my move back to Tennessee, I was recognized by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company in Illinois as an "Emerging Lawyer," a peer-nominated honor given to less than 2 percent of attorneys under age 40. I was honored in the fields of commercial litigation and creditor's rights law.Prior to the practice of law, I served as a full-time instructor in MTSU's Political Science Department.
