Works closely with the Security Manager, in the Division of Administrative Services, to ensure the day to day security operations of the National Science Foundation to include the protection of life, property and sensitive information both National Security and Controlled Unclassified information. Manages the security of smaller groups of visitors such as students and members of Congress. Provided process analysis of the federal ID card office at NSF to ensure it was running efficiently and to ensure there was not government waste of funds on unused certificates. Also works with the Emergency Management Section working in COOP operations. Over saw the realignment of the Fire and Emergency Response Team to make it its volunteer staff as effective as possible in emergency situations.
