Working within the Risk COO team, I joined the newly formed Business Architecture team. My main role is working with technology architects to build architecture frameworks and standardised templates in order to evolve technology architecture and road maps aligned to business needs. The role involves working closely with the Risk Target Operating team, data and process architects, as well as the Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Market Risk, and Enterprise / Cross Risk functions. The role is also closely aligned to the RDARR (BCBS 239) oversight team, in ensuring that RDARR capability requirements are embedded in the technology architecture and investment governance processes.The standardised framework includes the build of a functional taxonomy for Risk; the development of a standardised framework for building business objectives, target outcomes, and target KPIs; and working with technology to build standardised conceptual architecture, logical data models, and road maps which describe with precision how the business objectives will be met. In addition, the framework is embedded within a wider business architecture framework, and I work closely with process, data, and organisational architects to ensure that there is a cohesive, integrated architecture framework.
