Cunningham offers over two decades of experience in software development, marketing, sales, consulting, project management and corporate management. Originally joining Blue Marble as Director of Business Development in January 2003, Cunningham assisted with the sale of the company and took over the reins in February 2004. Since that time, embracing a customer focused development process, Cunningham has expanded the development team, created an outbound sales team, a q/a and software testing team, customer development, marketing and training groups. Cunningham has successfully led the drive to focus Blue Marble technology on enterprise level solutions such as the powerful Geographic Calculator and the GeoCalc/GeoCore Developer Suite. Cunningham led the 2011 acquisition of Global Mapper and is responsible for the successful integration of that tool set with Blue Marble products. This successfully catapulted Blue Marble to a much broader GIS audience positioning Global Mapper as the low cost GIS solution for today's GIS professionals. Blue Marble is known for their unique expertise in highly accurate mapping, reliable software solutions and customer service in all areas of the geospatial software sector. Currently Cunningham is leading the drive to expand Blue Marble tools for LiDAR and Cloud solutions.Prior to Blue Marble, Cunningham ran his own consulting firm and was responsible for co-developing a successful ROI software sales tool into a stand-alone business.
