Part of this job was recruiting potential mentors for mentees with Autism, for virtual mentoring experiences from my college. I promote You're With Us! on campus and reach out to various departments to spread the news of potential mentoring employment opportunities with You're With Us! This includes sending out emails to interested and relevant, potential candidates.I currently mentor an individual with Autism with a common interest. I meet with them weekly to assist them with current projects and assist them with life skills such as prioritizing and social connections with others. I involve the mentee with campus organization(s) or club(s). This also includes assisting them with technical issues when they arise during our virtual meetings and walking the mentee through how to fix them.

Set up, adjusted, and took down props, backgrounds, and staging components for professional photography sessions in the JCP Portraits studio. Interacted with customers to provide them with the best customer service possible from pre-check-in through the photography session, the A-E sales process, and the check-out process, while making sales for the photos taken during each session.

At TJMaxx I was a retail cashier and occasional reorganization and restocking of supplies on the retail floor. I gained customer service experience as a cashier. I performed multiple transactions as a cashier speaking with customers from several different locations. Occasionally I had to converse with customers in Spanish in order to complete transactions. This also included the duty of opening credit cards for individuals.

I assisted individuals trying to locate places within the library and around campus. I referred students to appropriate desks and persons within the library for the information they seek. I reported incidents concerning the safety of students or the library in general via appropriate procedures. I checked out books to students and checked books in. I conducted headcounts, sanitized desks, made sure students were checked into the appropriate locations using the spaces they reserved and made sure students wore their face masks and were social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. I packaged books for inter-library travel and sorted the storage closet to make it more accessible and easier to find needed supplies. I also searched for and allocated books for students and other library patrons within the library, and made sure books were in their appropriate locations when shelf reading.

For this internship, I worked alongside members of GATRA administration for a recently expanded rideshare service servicing all of Mansfield Massachusetts, and parts of Plainville, Massachusetts and Foxborough Massachusetts, including Patriots Place, known as GATRA On Demand (GATRA Go). I created email account for customer feedback through social media accounts for the service. I created and monitored social media accounts for the service in order to promote it through social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr. I linked the Gatra Go Facebook account to the pre-existing GATRA Microtransit Facebook page. I linked the email to all of these social media accounts to have customer responses and feedback in one location. I traveled to GATRA HQ in Taunton, Massachusetts for meetings with superiors. I conducted customer feedback interviews during ride-alongs, using the GATRA On Demand service. I traveled to local businesses in the area serviced by GATRA On Demand, met with their managers and employees, and provided them with brochures, flyers, and occasionally instructional cards, to expand knowledge of the service in person. This was an unpaid 160 - hour winter internship completed as of the middle of January, 2020 after starting it in the middle of December, 2019.

This was a temporary position until the end of the public school year after I completed the Spring 2019 semester at college. This ranged in responsibilities depending on the size of the school groups that come to this camp. The age groups were primarily 6th grade. If it were a small group I would simply assist the teachers with their lectures and activities and help with planning and logistics during move-in for the students. When larger groups arrived, I taught my own section of a class with my own lecture and activity. One week this was designing a T-shirt, combining three different systems of the body and talking about cellular respiration. At other times, this would be teaching the students on how to use a compass, bearings, and coordinates during a geocaching activity. A third example was teaching the students about the food chain using a game they had at the camp known as "Whale Jenga", talking about how certain events and human interactions that can occur can effect a food chain. The second part of this was talking about bio-magnification and the effects and concentrations of toxins as it spreads up the food chain. These courses were difficult to organize and learn the content before presenting them in the short time-frames given. This was a very enriching and inspiring experience, however.

For this job I took down the names of people having ID card trouble, unable to open the doors to the library. I assisted people who needed help either with the printers, with opening the doors, or directions throughout the library. I fixed paper jams in printers and reported major printer errors upon being informed or witnessing them. I've reported incidents if they occurred to campus security. I've kept track of a time sheet for hours and days worked. I took head counts of students in the library and recorded it. I also greeted and welcomed people to the campus when tours came through the library.
