He designed and built Ireland's first Zero Net Energy House, the iLEEiD house (integrated low energy & environmental impact design) for which he received national awards - SEAI and Green Awards. Patrick's work, while centered on low energy and low environmental impact building design, has diversified and included consultancy and research in a range of fields such as Ecological Construction Materials - notably HempLime Biocomposite Renewable Energy, Wind, PV, SHW, Geotherm, Bioenergy, SRC Sustainable Energy Communities - including Dundalk 2020Green Business Development He is currently active in private consultancy & research and also in academic lecturing and research. Patrick is also involved in Christian ministry and social projects in Ireland, Africa and Brazil.
