Patrick Dickinson, Horticulturist and Landscape DesignerDickinson focuses on landscape water use efficiency and brings 20 years of green industry experience in landscape design and management. Dickinson specializes in plant selection, rainwater harvesting, irrigation design, drip irrigation and new technology. His outreach efforts provide industry professionals and the public with the most current, sustainable information about landscape water use in his disciplines of expertise, he provides CEU trainings for Landscape Architects, Licensed Irrigators, Nurseryman and Rainwater Harvesting Specialists.Dickinson has an eye for design and a keen knowledge of plants. He consistently pushes the design envelope and creates outdoor living spaces to meet anyone’s aesthetic, that are not only beautiful but easy to maintain and water efficient. His passion for resource-efficient landscapes is reflected in his many designs across the State and beyond, you can see Patrick’s work on display at numerous award-winning demonstration landscapes around the DFW area including the RainScapes Garden at Tarrant Regional Water District, The McKinney Green Garden, and the Texas A&M WaterSense Labeled Home. Patrick received his B.S. in Horticulture with an emphasis in business and design from Tarleton State University, he is a TCEQ Licensed Irrigator, and a rainwater harvesting specialist and board member of the Dallas Irrigation Association. You may have caught him on WFAA Channel 8 for the “Green Segment”, Saturday Mornings alongside our partners at NTMWD. His career has led him to manage at several landscape firms as well as a career with a premier state agency.
