Virtio Corp was incorporated into Synopsys where I started in the role of R&D Senior Engineer. We develop TLM2 based virtual prototyping SystemC models and I have been involved in the development of various models including DMA, MMC, UFS and PCI Express.I currently have the role of Senior Manager, R&D responsible for the Services team in Livingston and also the planning, delivery of VDK customer solutions across various markets including Automotive.

Developing Software in C++ I developed various virtual prototyping models which help to accelerate time to market for software developers. The main customers were in the mobile sector and the peripheral models that I developed were for audio, video and cryptography. I also took over responsibilty for developing DMA models.

I developed embedded software in C/C++ for Remote Monitoring network probes which adhered to RMON standards. The probes developed were for Ethernet, FDDI, Token Ring and Wide Area Networks using ATM/Frame Relay.

Crewe Toll, Edinburgh

As part of the signal processing group I worked on the ECR90 project developing embedded software in C. Specifically I worked on the Signal Processor Controller software and became the team leader for this work.

As part of the Flight Control Systems group I worked on the EH101 helicopter project developing embedded software in Perspective Pascal and Motorola 68000 assembler.Also as part of the Flight Deck Display group I developed software in C for a prototype head up display project.
