I have worked in telecommunications for 35 years, experiencing the transition from manual billing and customer services, through the computerisation of services and the changes brought about by emerging technologies and their affect on products, services and smart technologies.My work experience has essentially been on the IT side making best use of systems, operations, testing/implementation of new systems with integration into existing architectures, culminating with the implementation of a technical solution from the ground up. My experience of both working and managing the day-to-day business of mobile, and fixed services meant that I was able to implement and operate computer systems for the business with total understanding/empathy with all business functions, services, and operations of a telecoms enterprise.
