Purchasing Agent/Buyer for American Technical Ceramics, an AVX Corporation[Kyocera] owned electronics manufacturing factory, located in Jacksonville, FL. 200+ employees; Key Products manufactured include: Capacitors; Resistive Products [Attenuators & resistors, for the RF/Microwave industry], and Thin Film-Technologies [Engineered-to-Order, Q-Bridge Thermal Conductors, other custom items].This is a Manufacturing facility, with local supported functions: Stores/Receiving/Shipping, HR, MIS/IT, Accounting, Engineering, Facilities & Departmental Maintenance, along with EHS [Environmental, Health and Safety]. EHS Dept. operates a facility Water Plant [both RO/DI systems], as well as waste water purification/conversion & solid waste collection systems. On-site: 13-buildings; Manufacturing is fully air-conditioned and supported by permanent, back-up diesel-powered generation units.Tools Used/Systems support: Oracle ERP, Google email, Excel, Word, Fax & Phone.Key responsibilities include:Analysis of report data, encode/generate system purchase orders in Oracle for the purchase of raw materials, along with maintenance, repair & operating supplies [as needed, or into a MIN/MAX Storeroom inventory system]. Execute purchase orders to approved suppliers to support both Oracle system-generated and management-approved, Purchase Requisition-based requests. Successfully expedite urgent equipment, parts, service &supply needs to maintain manufacturing requirements.Communicate needs to approved suppliers; including requests-for-quote, purchase orders and engineering-based requests for technical information. Monitor & maintain excellent, on-time supplier performance delivery. Review invoice on-hold reports with Corporate AVX Accounts Payable management to assure efficient & correct payments to suppliers. Communicate conflicting info with suppliers to resolve any invoicing issues. Support new product development & sister AVX factories.

I monitored major commercial aerospace manufacturers’ activity as they relate to supply chain & material requirements demands. I have prepared, reported & advised strategies to customers to support these activities & new developments.

I worked successfully with our supplier/partners, product design, engineering, quality, accounting & operations management to support a 300% growth in aerospace wire insulation, cable & cable assembly capacity & production .-Principal prgrams include: airframe electrical & fly-by-wire data cables & CRN & BJ cable assemblies for Boeing 787 Dreamliner, 737, 777, 747-8 & 767; Airbus DR airframe electrical wire & cable for A380 & Eurocopter. In-flight-entertainment cables for assemblies to Panasonic into above aircraft programs (along with other leading new & refurbished aircraft programs). Specialized materials into Carlisle's highly accepted aersopace fiber optic cables & cable assemblies.-I negotiated & established mutually favorable (to Carlisle & our supplier partners) , long-term supply agreements to assure continuous, un-interrupted supply of high-performance, high-quality raw materials to support all of these above programs & other military programs.-I established with our key supplier/partners consigned inventory & VMI systems to reduce leadtime & significantly increase inventory turns & improve working capital.-I negotiated very favorable, extended payment terms & rebate programs with our key supplier partners to improve our key supplier/partners' sales position to Tensolite/Carlisle, along with improvements to DPO, lower procurment cost & improved value & profit margins for Tensolite/Carlisle.-I continuously evaluated overall supply chain performance, including, but not limited to quality, quantity & cost of supply to Tensolite/Carlisle & ultimately, for our key customer programs.-I worked passionately with our Product Design, Engineering, Quality & Sales folks to assure prompt & speedy procurement execution support from design work to final qualification completion using new, improved and/or changed raw materials & cables for our world-class, aerospace programs.
