The Door Works is a niche construction company that specializes in the installation of doors, hardware, and weatherstripping. It's a small company made up of highly skilled technicians; I was brought in to fill the role of office manager/ dispatcher. The role was defined as: receiving incoming calls, scheduling service appointments for technicians, serving as accounts payable/ receivable, managing the retail store, and processing payroll. Over time I've expanded upon the initial roles in an effort to grow the business through my position. My duties include:- Receiving all office incoming phone and email communications.- Communicating/ scheduling with technicians, property managers, construction companies and homeowners.- Maintaining inventory of 100s of SKUs and managing the retail store with Quickbooks. - Executing and Notarizing contracts and lien releases before and after projects.- Providing quotes, sales assistance, and ongoing customer service throughout jobs. - Serving as IT support for company hardware and software. - Receiving and processing customer payments through ZOHO and logging payments in Excel.Over my time at The Door Works I have also:- Helped grow company gross profits by 10-20% over any previously recorded year (even through 2020)- Migrated company website and email accounts from the previously outdated host.- Worked directly with 4 door manufacturers to provide Door Works with door quoting software. (This allows for faster and accurate quoting which previously was done by phone and email)- Set up a web account with a retail weatherstripping supplier (Pemko), cutting down product lead time.(This allows for Door Works to provide an accurate lead time to customers, previously unavailable.)- Scheduled company meetings with manufacturers to educate Door Works on new products.- Obtained Oregon Notary Public Certification to execute contracts more easily/ quickly.

Jake's Grill's banquet department is responsible for catering to the 6 banquet rooms located in the Sentinel Hotel. Room capacity ranges from 30 to 500 guests and will often be turned over twice a day during the busy seasons. A cook's daily activities involve reading pre-sold menus and prepping proteins, vegetables, and starches accordingly. Kitchen Leads will organize the team to prepare hot and cold food items to be plated and 'sold' together for each corresponding party.My primary duties included:Assisted Banquet Chef conjointly or independently with:- Training new cooks in company food prep standards and kitchen operations.- Executing pre-determined menus for up 2500 guests daily. *- Managing cooks to prep correct amounts of food items per guest/ party *- Organizing timelines, cooks, prep, and equipment; ensuring accurate, fresh, and timely service. *- Coordinating with front-of-house managers to accommodate day-of changes- Developing kitchen procedures to eliminate redundancies and ensure food consistency.- Writing new and reworking old company recipes.**Completed "Landry's Certified Trainer" Program
