Better Learning Using Engineering Laboratory (BLUElab) Watershed was a subteam of BLUElab, a student organization at the University of Michigan composed of eight multidisciplinary project teams united through a common goal of sustainability and socially engaged design. Watershed's mission, in partnership with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, was to monitor water quality in the Great Lakes region with a focus on elevated phosphorus levels in the Clinton River Watershed. My role on the team was primarily on the sampling team which was tasked with collection of water samples and flow data from 16+ sites following and adapting procedures to best work with our resource limitations and meet DEQ standards. I also assisted in discussing and developing testing procedures and a potential educational program for the public in areas of concern.
