Creating an 80-hectare woodland consisting of 190,000 trees, undertaking tree planting, hedgerow and fence maintenance, felling operations and various other forest management tasks along with timber processing.

Collecting eDNA samples (mainly scat and hair) to monitor the population of Eurasian Brown Bear in the Făgăraș Mountains in Romania’s southern Carpathians. Further monitoring of wildlife (Wolves, Lynx, Bison, Red Deer and Beaver) was also undertaken through camera trap installation and data analysis.

Planting on a variety of sites in northeast Scotland for both conservation and commercial forestry purposes.

- Wildlife monitoring in the coexistence corridors through the identification of wildlife signs of presence, collection of genetic samples (hairs) and dawn and dusk monitoring to identify species;- Setting up, maintaining and analysing camera traps to study the distribution of wildcats (Felis silvestris), Marsican brown bears (Ursus arctos marsicanus) and the Apennine wolf (Canis lupus italicus);- Identifying and inspecting Griffon vulture roosting and feeding sites using GPS data;- Construction of electric fences to protect farms and apiaries from bear raids thereby reducing human-wildlife conflict;- Planting, pruning and installing protective fencing around fruit trees to increase trophic resources for bears in wildlifecorridors;- Bear’s trophic resource identification and transects across a large territory;- Environmental restoration (removal of abandoned barbed wire fences and truck tires; clean-up of lay-bys etc.)- Participation in social events organised by Rewilding Apennines to spread awareness about the conservation projects to the local community.

Landscaping predominantly on new-build houses with day-to-day activities including laying turf, fencing, and slabbing.

Undertaking tasks for the senior park ranger at Highbury Park. Following this, I created a management plan detailing how to increase woodland cover in a way that would improve biodiversity, whilst also benefitting the various stakeholders.

Assisting the maintenance department in a variety of supporting roles including carpentry, plumbing and painting as well as general labour during university holidays.
