Provide SSN tomahawk training support to The Submarine Learning Center (SLC) and water front ISICs to include platform instruction and curriculum development. Manage a team of instructors and interface with the PMA 280 program office. Also provide support for the Test Engineering team during the integration and test efforts for current and next generation Fast Attack Submarine Weapon Control (WC) and the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon System (TTWS) onsite at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport. Tasking included, but is not limited to: (1) Integration efforts for multiple variants of SSN AN/BYG-1 and TTWS builds, (2) On and off site WCS and TTWS support for Regression testing, Increment testing, test procedure development, software build support, and NUWC lab support, (3) support PMA 280/281Program Certification events by providing both operations and technical support during testing events (4) provide TTWS training to junior engineers and Military Detachment (MILDET) Staff. As a designated Submarine CCS subject matter expert (SME), assist in proposal writing on multiple solicitations released for bid/award.

SMART Project Lead:Over-saw a team of engineers and CM/ILS support personnel during the development and delivery of SMART systems deployed at seven (7) worldwide Submarine Trainer sites. Directed efforts for a tactical version of the SMART product to be developed and integrated onboard a Virginia Class submarine as part of AN/BYG-1 TI-12 Advanced Processor Build (APB) 13 delivery. As part of this effort, worked with SMART engineers to define and develop SMART Tactical requirements and draft deliverable technical documents such as: Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), System/Subsystem Specification (SSS), Functional Description Document (FDD) and major planning milestones. Drafted a software delivery and validation process along with a configuration management plan. All efforts and fund expenditures for this project were closely tracked and reported in the form of Monthly and Quarterly status reports that were delivered to the primary stakeholders. As a designated Submarine CCS subject matter expert (SME), assisted in proposal writing on multiple solicitations released for bid/award.

AN/BYG-1 (V) and CCS MK2 BLK1C Operations Instructor:Developed training material and provided training to both Australian and US Navy personnel on the maintenance and operations of complex military systems and equipment to include; curriculum development, development and/or proofing and analysis of maintenance and operations procedures, coordinating and integrating electronic technical manuals, Interactive Multimedia Instructions and performing training sessions at land based test facilities, electronic classrooms and aboard Submarines. Master Training SpecialistThree years instructor experience developing, revising and managing performance based curriculum, specializing in General Operations of various Fire Control systems, Target Motion Analysis, and C4I.SSN Fire Control TechnicianOver six years of hands-on experience included operation, preventative and corrective maintenance, of complex combat systems for the Submarine Combat Control System Suites (CCS MK-1 and AN/BSY-1). Verification and validation of the combat systems were performed while bringing all Fire Control related systems out of lay-up after extended shipyard periods. Performed maintenance actions on various Combat System equipment and related computer networks including computer main frames, IBM PC’s, magnetic tape drives, disk memory units, signal data converters and combat video display consoles aboard Submarines and trainer facilities. This included preventative and corrective maintenance actions and acquisition of repair parts for complex submarine combat control and lifesaving equipment aboard SSN-719 and SSN-763. Ship’s System Manual (SSM) Coordinator onboard USS Santa Fe (SSN 763), responsible for maintaining the SSMs to include writing and submitting System Trouble Reports, when manuals needed editing.
