Responsible for overseeing and implementing the Center for Natural Lands Management’s (CNLM) conservation real estate program. Coordinates teams, manages the acquisitions process, and ensures acquisitions projects are fully vetted, kept on schedule, and well documented. Works with regulatory agencies and permittees to ensure all parties understand project structure and roles. Develops and strengthens strategic partnerships towards increasing acquisitions opportunities and working with CNLM staff and partners towards resolving extrinsic threats to CNLM’s role in perpetual conservation. It is the purpose of the Great Marsh Institute (GMI) to support scientific studies through access to the property, technical support, and opportunities for educational activities including funding for student interns.Great Marsh Institute (GMI) focuses on the Great Marsh in Chester County, PA. The Great Marsh is primarily owned by the Moore family and French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust. The Great Marsh is a periglacial marsh and the largest marsh in Southeastern Pennsylvania, about 700 acres. Surrounding the marsh is shrub swamps, swamp forests, corridors of floodplain forest, upland forest, row crop farming and the PA turnpike.

Gordon Natural Area for Environmental Studies not only supports a great range of life including plant, fungal, avian and vertebrate, but also serves as a "natural laboratory" for various environmental related courses. The Gordon area is an integral aspect of both the environment and education in Chester County."I assisted in forest research, studied/removed invasive plant species, native plant/animal species, planted trees, recorded tree health, and assisted in volunteer programs.

Environmental Health & Safety provides professional advice to university groups in the areas of environmental protection, fire safety, occupational health and safety.The department is available for inspections, monitoring and analysis of specific problem areas and provides or coordinates a variety of safety and health training. Regular inspections are performed in buildings and EHS monitors all adverse environmental exposures. The department is the liaison for the university with regulatory agencies in the fields of occupational and environmental health and safety and is a service and support unit within Human Resources Services.

French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust is a community-based organization that preserves and protects endangered land and natural resources in northern Chester County. The Trust works collaboratively with individual landowners, local, county and state government, and other conservation organizations to ensure the preservation of the French and Pickering Creeks watersheds, which contain some of the most scenic lands in Pennsylvania.
