As an Adecco Group Senior Vice President, I led the development, implementation, and growth of global athlete programs to support elite athletes make the transition from sport to the labor market. I assumed leadership of the International Olympic Committee Athlete Career Programme (IOC ACP) in 2006 and created and launched the International Paralympic Committee ACP (IPC ACP) in 2007, both in cooperation with the Adecco Group. Prior to assuming the global role, I worked with the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee on the athlete transition program and supported professional sport leagues and players in the USA (NFL, NBA, MLS) to support the development and implementation of programs for professional athlete transition to the labor market.As head of the Athlete Programmes we reached more than 45,000 athletes globally from over 185 countries. We coordinated and provided guidance to more than 30 country-based operations. Established a unique program for young athletes delivered at the 1st Youth Olympic Games and continued forward. Created an ‘Outreach Programme’ in 2007 where we trained athletes, experts, and HR professionals to support athlete transition in countries without local programs where we delivered workshops in more than 100 countries. Developed unique inclusion content and reference material to better support Paralympic Athletes which better enabled a programme to support persons with a physical disability in the labor market. In addition to supporting athlete transition, I led the global knowledge sharing and supported specific country needs for Large Event Staffing engagements for such events as the London 2012 games and further events that followed. Developed and implemented the Portfolio Career Program for Classical Musicians and worked with the International Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC) to develop a program to better support persons with a physical disability within the ICRC Physical Rehabilitation Programme.
