My responsibilities as a PIC is to ensure the shifts I am in charge of run smoothly and effectively. This includes watching over bread quality and quantity, vegetable preparation, the managing of personnel under my supervision, keeping a high standard of customer service, and training new personnel into excellent staff members. I attend the end of month Safety Marshal meetings about every other month; with my partner taking the other half of the year. These duties include not only discussing safety issues in our district with other Safety Marshals, but also includes the following:* Ensure food quality and safety as far as hold times being kept up to date, correct temps, and preventing cross-contamination.* Ensures that the safety deposit boxes for the registers are emptied once an hour to reduce the risk of robbery and losses.* To coach the crew on robbery awareness, and what to do in case of a robbery.* Coaches and stays aware of the cleanliness of the store and safety issues...such as boxes on the floor, chipped tiles, wet floors and making sure there are wet floor signs out, unwelcome sharp edges, etc...* Coaches and enforces the need to wear safety equipment during potentially dangerous assignments to cut down on injuries.
