Coaching trampoline gymnastics and DMT for The University of Manchester Trampoline Club.

Performed the thematic analysis for the project led by Paul Crane and Pete Bridge, titled “Service User Perceptions Concerning the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Radiotherapy”, which was presented in RTT - Patient experience and quality of life as part of an ESTRO 2024 Digital Poster.

Attended for extended placement blocks at all The Christie sites, namely Withington, Macclesfield, Salford and Oldham. I developed a good knowledge of the oncological pathways connected to radiotherapy. I observed the multidisciplinary teams work together to achieve optimal and patient-focused care. This included MDT meetings, Clinical Oncologists' clinics, chemotherapy wards, brachytherapy, proton therapy, Macmillan support workers, medical review radiographer workflow and complementary therapies.Radiotherapy-specific skills and knowledge gained included pretreatment scanning, virtual simulation planning and treatment delivery.Specific techniques and technologies used/observed include IMRT, VMAT on Elekta and Varian LINACS, SGRT, SABR, SRT with ExacTrac, TBI, GA used for paediatric patients, and BCON for bladder patients.

Attended for one week as a student at The University of Liverpool. Got hands-on with the therapeutic radiography techniques being used at the Radiotherapy department adjacent to The Cumberland Infirmary, including the use of Varian LINACS.
