Insure that dairy products produced and manufactured in Indiana are safe and meet the requirements of our state laws, the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance, and associated documents.Supervise and direct dairy division supervisors and staff.Review Supervisors and Deputy Director daily logs, travel vouchers, and time sheets.Oversee/assist staff disciplinary actions.Develop policies for the division. Review policies submitted by supervisors and deputy director.Oversee/initiate enforcement actions against farms and plants with consecutive debits, violations with imminent health concerns, drug residues, or quality issues.Initiate hiring and conduct employee interviews.Conduct employee evaluations for assigned staff. Develop work improvement programs, participate in employee disciplinary actions, and initiate employee termination when appropriate.Mediate disputes between inspectors and industry.Provide training opportunities for field staff and supervisors.Represent the Dairy Division at state and national industry meetings and conferences.Conduct quarterly staff meetings.Conduct regularly scheduled industry/cooperative meetings.Represent the Dairy Division when meeting with other Indiana government organizations.

The sections I taught at Fountain Central included: Natural Resources, Animal Science, Agriculture Mechanics, and 7th grade General Agriculture Rotation. My focus was mainly students who were on the Career and Technical path. We worked together to give them a strong base on useful life skills. I was also involved in several extracurricular activities including: Sophomore Class Sponsor, FFA Advisor, Jr. High Track and Volley ball, Jr. Varsity Softball, Girls Varsity Basketball Assistant, Spirit Club, and helped with the Drama Club.
