I began my role at VGI like most here, as a field technician. I have recently been promoted to Security Applications Lead which, in a nutshell, means I support our technicians in any way I can. This can be by assisting with technical issues, programming, installation, or even to lend an ear. A large part of my job is to ensure our customers are taken care of by building a helpdesk that logs all issues and resolution, communicating as much as possible with them, and also meeting deadlines promptly. I also play a vital role in the day to day decisions made by management. I am able to provide advice and insight which assists in making those decisions. I love presenting new ideas and solutions to challenges we face. Along with these roles, I am still in the field when needed. I thoroughly enjoy being out exploring solutions to technical issues, and implementing those solutions successfully.
