Mr. Herrmann for the past 10 years has worked as an associate scientist with a focus primarily on environmental consulting for retail petroleum sites in Northern California. The work includes working with a dedicated team to completing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), remediation system installation and operation oversight, Underground Storage Tank (UST) installation / upgrades / removal, and regulatory agency interface. Prior to environmental consulting, Mr. Herrmann worked for three years as a certified California UST Service Technician, playing a critical role in environmental compliance at numerous retail and bulk fueling facilities. His project background includes serving as a project coordinator responsible for subcontractor management, field work coordination, and health and safety oversight for all workers and subcontractors. Mr. Herrmann most recently served as an interim HSSE coordinator and was responsible for managing all health, safety, security and environmental aspects of an oil manufacturing facility. The facility was comprised of 42 employees, 70 above-ground storage tanks, a 60,000 square foot warehouse, with hydrocarbon over water operations. Mr. Herrmann was the facility compliance liaison with federal and state EPA, San Francisco Water Quality Control Board, Bay Conservation & Development Commission, Bay Area Air Quality Control Board, United States Coast Guard, California Department of Fish & Wildlife – Oil Spill Planning & Response, California State Lands Commission, federal and state OSHA regulations and organizations. Mr. Herrmann was also responsible for the training and safety for all employees and contractors on site.
