I am still doing portraits for families that I started photographing 34 years ago. I’m shooting weddings of brides who I photographed as babies and senior portraits of the children of my first senior portraits here in Mukwonago. I guess my business has really come full circle.As one bride said to me: 'Pat, you have been there for all the important moments of my life. Thank you for being with me today.'The industry has gone through a metamorphosis over the past 34 years, and especially in the last 18. I’ve replaced darkroom time with computer time. The process of watching a photograph magically develop in front of your eyes has become the process of creating magical images using digital methods.It is exciting keeping up with all the changing technology. I feel so fortunate to have been able to experience both the old and the new. With all the changes, and being voted “Best Photographer” for the past 6 years, I felt inspired to update my image on the 30th anniversary of my business.My new name, 'Best Photography,' incorporates all aspects of photography within the digital revolution in the photographic industry. I am doing a lot more business and related shoots. I still specialize in people photography (portraits), but I am also branching out more and more into commercial photography.I am blessed to own a 4000 square foot studio that can accommodate large families and lots of sets and props. Outdoor photos are great, but I always have a backup plan.If you’ve never been here, you should just stop by and see the studio. I call it my little 'Hollywood of Mukwonago!'
