As an Active Shooter Defense Subject Matter Expert (SME) my primary responsibilities are the education of all interested groups and individuals in a better understanding of the Active Shooter phenomenon and training in appropriate response measures for individuals caught in an Active Shooter incident.

My primary responsibilities as the Emergency Management Specialist for Billings Clinic included the management of all aspects of emergency planning, mitigation and preparations for Billings Clinic and the writing and updating of all corporate and departmental emergency plans, policies and procedures within the organization. A secondary responsibility was conducting research into past Active Shooter incidents, the development of a program for training all Billings Clinic staff in better understanding of the potential Active Shooter, and the training of all staff in proper response tactics should an Active Shooter incident take place in Billings Clinic.
