As the technical lead for a large borough of London, I help maintain the integrity of the Water Network by approving any activities that are planned or proposed. Initiatives such as Mains Replacement, Pressure Management and the many different projects need to be risk assessed and given a final approval before being implemented.I also work on high level impactful bursts helping to bring a safe and timely resolution to the many customers affected.

As part of the Eastern South team and working alongside the Systems Engineer, I am tasked with optimising the London Water Network. On a day-to-day basis, I work to ensure that customers are receiving statutory levels of pressure and flow, through analysis of data from monitoring points around the different hydraulic Zones. Understanding the network competently means the expert use of many geographical and statistical software packages where I can monitor Night-lines, spot anomalies such as non-revenued large users and assess the overall health of DMA's. From this gained insight, I can make informed decisions and design bespoke plans to best target leakage reduction through Sounding, Noise logging, Stepping or Validation. Our dynamic team is also tasked to bring the raised work streams to fruition where repairs dropping the (NL) are taken off our leakage target helping the client meet its leakage targets set by OFWAT.
