After completing a rigorous engineering qualification process, I served as the Reactor Control Division Officer from April 2017 to September 2018. In this role I managed the maintenance and administration associated with the ship’s nuclear reactor control equipment. From June 2018 to May 2019, I assumed the positions of Assistant Operations Officer and Information Technology (IT) Division Officer. As Assistant Operations Officer, I directly planned and promulgated schedules for day-to-day operations and maintenance during the execution of a complex in-port refit period and a strategic deterrent patrol. As IT Division Officer I managed the ship’s LAN administration and Cyber workforce. Additionally, as the Command’s Audit and Surveillance Program Manager I coordinated sustained organizational improvement across three departments.
