Rule 48 Student Attorney, Criminal Defense And Justice Clnic
CurrentAuthorized to engage in the limited practice of law in the District of Columbia pursuant to Rule 48 of the Bar of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.In the Criminal Defense and Justice Clinic, Student Attorneys represent indigent individuals who are charged with misdemeanor offenses in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Student Attorneys are responsible for every aspect of their cases, including interviewing and counseling clients, investigating facts and interviewing witnesses, negotiating with prosecutors, drafting and litigating motions, and ultimately taking the case to trial, if appropriate.
