At Warzone I am a head referee and valued member of the staff. I am directly involved in the planning of each work day and supervision of junior referees. I ensure that the work day runs smoothy and effectively to give our customers the experience that they deserve. Throughout the work day I supervise 20+ players through games of paintball and airsoft ensuring player safety and accountability. I socialize with the player in between games to introduce new players to the community and make our customers feel welcome. I am also one of the members of staff with the technical knowledge to diagnose and fix issues that arise in our gear. This helps our operations run smoothly by keeping our fleet of paintball and airsoft gun running at full strength. Sometimes this requires the full deconstruction and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Project Goal:The Development of a continuous wave (CW) Terahertz (THz) imaging system for the detection of skin cancer.The goal of the project was to create a non-invasive way to detect skin cancer by utilizing the THz region of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum. THz frequencies have been a rather unexplored region of the EM spectrum due to the lack of affordable and efficient means of generation. However, THz radiation is highly sensitive to water concentration through its high absorptivity making it ideal for skin cancer detection. My role on the project was in the design and creation of the lens array to detect the cancerous cells. I researched possible materials for lens fabrication and compiled a list of the refractive indices of these materials. I worked in OSLO to create lens arrays using these refractive indices to develop our imaging system.Later in the project I worked in MATLAB to develop a script to calculate the percentage of light that would reach our camera when directed through the array of focusing lenses. This script went through many iterations as more refractive indices were discovered and the lens array was refined. The ease of the script was also refined with each iteration.With this research project I got the opportunity to present my research two conferences. The first conference I presented at was a RI-IMBRE poster session at URI in July of 2023. I had the pleasure of presenting alongside my two colleagues Nate Arduino and Mia Raley. In November of 2023, Nate Arduino and I had the opportunity to present our work at the IEEE Photonics Society conference in Orlando, Florida.
