I founded PMJ PLLC in 2015 to focus on general commercial litigation, air passenger's rights and aviation law, and U.S. business formation for non-U.S. residents. We also advise several "start-ups" on corporate structuring, formation, and management, joint ventures, supply agreements and management, employee management, and business partner relationships.In 2020, we added Sarah Beaujour, a French citizen licensed in France and New York to our Chicago office, and John Wiberg, an intellectual property specialist who works remotely from Boulder, Colorado. Together, we have worked on some landmark cases, including In re: Boeing 737 MAX Pilots Litigation, two trademark infringement cases against more than 300 defendants, and a shareholder dispute involving Canada's largest cryptocurrency exchange, and our reputation and client base is only growing.

I lead the DePaul University College of Law's International Moot Court Program, including the school's entrants into the Jessup moot court competition team focusing on International dispute resolution, and the Sarin Leiden International Air Law Moot Court Competition team focusing on issues in international aviation law. The Leiden team recently received the award for Best Oralist Presentation (Applicant), and Top 3 overall (Applicant and Respondent) at the 2016 competition held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Institute shut down in 2016.

My practice focused primarily on creditors' rights and asset recovery, and general commercial litigation. I also advised several start-ups on general corporate matters, including formation, joint venture agreements, employee management, supply agreements and supply chain management, intellectual property, and tax.

I was a partner in the Chicago office of Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, a St. Louis-based law firm with approximately 160 attorneys. My practice focuses on general commercial litigation and corporate restructuring, and I have litigated hundreds of disputes in state and federal court, including two jury trials and four federal appeals.

I was a partner in SmithAmundsen’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Financial Services Group. My practice focused on commercial litigation and creditors’ rights. I regularly represented businesses in Federal, state and Federal bankruptcy court in matters pending throughout the country. I also counseled clients on fiduciary duties in the zone of insolvency, lender protections in single-asset real estate restructurings, and out-of-court workouts.While with SmithAmundsen, I was named to the Illinois Rising Stars list, a peer review designation published by Law & Politics magazine.

Partner in the Corporate Restructuring Group. Represented Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee in multi-million dollar breach of fiduciary duty claims against former directors and officers of insolvent company. Represented Berkshire Hathaway holding in defense of $125 million fraudulent transfer action resulting in a voluntary dismissal of the case. Acted as national counsel to Farmers Insurance Group with respect to employee disputes arising in bankruptcy cases.
