CurrentWorking remotely since March of 2020 • Relocated an entire production line in 2 months from China to Canada to avoid US tariff cost, all tooling/testing equipment, inventory and lesson learned from old production line to the new production line to avoid start up mistakes. Relocated production line again to Mexico due to Covid problems in Canada.• Lead a team of 6 procurement/Planning professionals in 3 countries that coordinate placement of purchase orders/shipments and deliveries for repair parts as well as top level assemblies to the USA, Canada and Mexico distribution/repair facilities. • Daily/nightly interaction with Contract Manufactures in Mexico, Taiwan and Mainland China to insure production schedules are met and reduction of any potential part availability or testing problems.• Developed/hired a Supplier Production/Quality Engineer in Mainland China to reduce inferior parts in the supply chain.• Sourced new suppliers in LCD’s, touch screens, keypad, membranes and plastic parts to reduce overall cost of product.• Created a dynamic partner relationship with engineering due to constant design changes which affect plastic injection molded parts and PCB/PCBA design changes.• Coordinated all NPI processes from product conception to manufacturing of production units.• Identified second sources for all single source suppliers to reduce single points of failure in global supply chain.
