ResponsibilitiesData Goverance Partake in defining the overall data governance strategy for the client who is in the media industry.  Collaborate with stakeholders to define how a data quality framework and a metadata framework can be applied to them, and take them through the process.  Develop and showcase data quality metrics in Talend from data on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Develop policies and standards for the enterprise in relation to data quality and metadata.Business Performance Reporting Lead Enable and provide insights on performance of products in the market to the buiness through:  Definition and detailed formual to calculate performance metrics  Identification of data and manage team to deliver date into stratgic platform  Definiton, development and enhancement of Tableau extracts and dashboards to visualise the metrics. Conduct data analysis to support business case, using data to validate business assumptions and looking for opportunities within the data.  Lead a team to deliver on the above tasks.

Responsibilities Lead a small team to enable safe use of our platform as per the responsibilities listed. Consultant to all areas of the Bank to enable self-service of our strategic IT platform (Teradata and Hadoop) and tooling (Tableau, SAS, OBIEE).  Manage federated delivery capability, requiring discussions at senior management level to assess fit for purpose, followed by organising and conducting training and ongoing support.  Collaborate with architecture and platform support teams to define and enhance the platform data management operating model and standard operating procedures (‘SOPs’), based on feedback from stakeholders, various data governance/management needs or guidelines (e.g. CPG235) and known risks (eg. lack of support on non-production environments).  Deliver platform operating model and SOPs to senior management and end users.  Provide overall guidance on the data lifecycle and data management to business and projects, to meet our platform operating model. Achievements Contributed to the following key initiatives; o Onboarded Alteryx to the Bank. Gathered inputs for the risk and security assessment, input into the procurement documentation, coordinated approvals and managed stakeholders. o On an interim basis, product owner for Omnia (CBA Hadoop Platform) Security project when required. o Initiated a Data Quality and Assurance Project, to identify key platform controls and alignment with APRA CPG235 guidelines. o Closed out medium risk issues, through collaboration with delivery team and experts to define a solution to address the risks, and rolled this out to the impacted teams.  Assessed and enabled 6 Federated Delivery teams (technical business teams), around 60 people, across 4 different areas of the Bank, to deliver over 1000 assets onto the production platform. Aligned solutions to A&I Strategy and operating model through close guidance.

 Consolidate customer requirements and provided initial assessment of their needs and its alignment to the platform architecture. This was then followed by an estimate for implementation.  Lead weekly meetings with GIS architecture, solution and delivery team to share project pipeline and seek feedback on estimates. Establish processes to manage the estimates consistently across our delivery teams. Represent our Consulting Team’s needs for a Registration and Estimation Tool, and rolled out the final tool to the rest of the Consulting Team.  Collaborate with other consulting teams across the Bank, and provided our platform components to their business case.  Contribute to the delivery of 2 Business Intelligence Expo events to showcase the work of the platform team to Bank employees.

 Conduct workshops to determine data, reporting and extract requirements across 4 major releases on the Core Banking Modernisation Programme for our reporting stream.  Manage senior stakeholders’ expectations when their requirements could not be met by the project.  Collaborate with other stream leads to determine scope, and new data requirements which impacted our stream.  Lead other Technical Business Analysts in other programme streams in gathering reporting requirements. Complete FIT/GAP analysis on requirements. Conduct handover of approved requirements to our streams Technical Business Analysts in order to commence the Design Phase efficiently.  Prepare Functional Specifications and Source to Target Mappings for reporting solutions. Collaborate with analysts and delivery managers and support staff on a product migration phase of the programme, to ensure our streams objectives and dependencies were met.
