Conducted research, diplomatic engagement, and interagency coordination on anti-trafficking efforts and trends in the People's Republic of China and other East and Central Asian governments; duties included annual reports, official travel, industry liaison, legislative review and analysis, supply chain consultation, monitoring of trade and import restrictions compliance, and program design.

Monitored and reported on human rights issues in Bangladesh, Tajikistan, and the Central Asian member states of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and monitored and reported on the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) communities inSouth and Central Asia. Drafted demarche cables, public statements for delivery at international organizations, press guidance, and briefing materials for principal travel and diplomatic engagements. Consulted on regional human rights policy implications during interagency export control processes and White House policy coordination meetings.

Served as lead working-level point person for the management of U.S. bilateral relations with Tajikistan. Monitored media and events pertaining to the region and its political exterior, with a focus on the People's Republic of China. Engaged in media synthesis, research, and short fuse drafting for principal speeches and travel, NGO consultations, Congressional liaison, communication with our Embassy, and information memoranda to the Secretary and the White House.

(Rotational position.) Conducted interviews with state-affiliated academic institutions in order to report on PRC foreign policy. Drafted cables for the Department and the interagency. Conducted research and drafted briefing material for principal travel, FSO consultations, and diplomatic engagement with Northeast Asian and Pacific Island government interlocutors. Consulted on issues pertaining to China and Mongolia and translated trafficking-related East Asian media from the source languages into English. Represented the Office at international law enforcement conferences.

Managed intake of government and private sector translation orders; assigned projects to translators, collected work, and edited for accuracy and content based on source Arabic, Spanish, and Chinese content.

Managed board communications and assisted in grant writing, fundraising, and structural planning for an integrated residential farm housing project for adults with cognitive disabilities.
