• Perform on-call maintenance, repair, inspection, testing and operation of the MTC In Accordance With (IAW) Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements. • Perform MTC pre-flight, mission start-up, mission shut-down and post flight procedures. • Perform all maintenance, inspections, repair, replacement of parts, re-assembly, calibration, testing and operational checks to ensure proper system performance, correct malfunctions and verify the serviceable condition of the MTC system, subsystem and components. • Perform logistics activities shipping, receiving and tracking system assemblies, subassemblies and components. • Regularly inventory sites spares, consumables, bench stock, and component parts and keep associate databases up to date. • Document system deficiencies and/or malfunctions. • Accomplish system modifications as assigned by the program. • Support engineering integration and test efforts. • Meet customer training schedules. • Assists with repairs and tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software. • Performs general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components. • Conducts functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators. • Assists engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment. • Troubleshoots to isolate faults and repair faulty components.

Part of team that created course material and launched avionics training program at Holloman AFB. Taught advanced electronics systems theory, avionics troubleshooting and wire repair techniques in a one- month course. Mentored and coached up to 4 students through up to 10 annual training sessions. Used hands-on, classroom lecture and computer-based training (CBT) methods to teach all avionics systems including attack controls, flight controls and communication and navigation systems. Evaluated student progress, made decisions for student certification and recommended reassignment if needed. Counseled students through performance issues or disciplinary situations. Offered one-on-one assistance and counseling to ensure all students grasped materials.

Isolated faults, interpreted system failures and repaired wire harnesses using schematics, wiring diagrams, troubleshooting trees, blueprints and technical data. Utilized equipment such as watt meters, digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, VIPER / IA computer diagnostic tool, JSECTS tester and other test equipment to diagnose issues. Communicated with pilots to determine the source of problems and assess their needs; conducted diagnostic testing to prepare aircraft to meet flight production schedule whenever possible. Complied with all safety and security procedures and regulations including OSHA, personal protective equipment (PPE), FOD and hazardous materials handling.
