For almost two years, I was the internal Google service for SamCart. Didn’t matter which department came calling, I delighted in answering complex questions about obscure corners of the business, while also maintaining our reporting suite, advising various levels of leadership, and fixing the various iniquities of our data stack. We were a Snowflake/dbt/Tableau shop. Toward the end of my time there, we were implementing Snowplow to do first-party data collection to replace the horror that Google Analytics has become.
