Gensco is a HVAC distribution and steel manufacturing wholesaler. My role as a warehouse operations intern was to enhance corporate awareness of iWarehouse (a warehouse fleet safety and optimization system) and calculated the tangible value of each iW feature. Another project I worked on was optimizing overstock inventory and space by adjusting transfer quantities and maximizing pallet space for appliance units. I am continuing my internship part-time with Gensco. The project I am currently working on is making Gensco's warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) more accessible for team members by creating physical SOP reference cards at each workstation in the Bellingham branch.
