Port Arthur Tx

• Instrumentation Field Engineer for the OSBL Tank Farm portion of the CEProject. My responsibilities for this project is to oversee the contractor by assisting them on any technical, material and support issues that needed to be resolved. I had to review loop folders and walk down systems to insure that the client gets a flawless start up. I work with the engineer to update drawings and approve red lines that was found in the field.• I worked on updating the P&IDS (redlines) to match what was done in the field performed by the contractor. Before the contractor turned over their documents for the TCCC packages, I reviewed them to make sure all books where in compliance to the clients’ standards.• Other responsibilities included FMRS (Field Material Requisitions) purchasing equipment and material shorts, answering RFI’S (Request for Information) and SR’S (Service Requests), which allowed the contractor to due additional work beyond their scope of work • Liaison for client & multiple sub contractors in supporting planning & technical, material & other support issues. Coordinates construction of instrumentation with contractor, supports construction, & commissioning. Reviewing loop folders & walking down systems to provide data to ensure a flawless start up. Provide solutions to issues and give suggestions to work process.

•Assist foreman in coordinating work for the crew. Install instruments in a live unit. Run process tubing to instruments, valves, acid pumps, and transmitters. Run tubing to analyzer cabinets. Run air pipe to valves and pumps.

Assist Superintendent in coordinating work for the crew. Get with operations and pull permits thru BP's Control of Work Permit System. Review and install instruments per drawings. Work with operations to make live cut over from old transmitters to new field buss transmitters. Install instruments in all live units. Help Instrument Technician Loop check and put new instruments back in service. Run process tubing to instruments, valves, acid pumps, transmitters, and tubing to analyzer cabinets. Run air pipe to valves and pumps. Perform instrument cut-over with operations to make valves and instruments automated.

Lyondell Basell, Pasadena, Texas

•Research and plan project for all contractors coming on site. This included preparing job notes and scope of work for contractors to estimate. Perform bid tabs on all estimates and work with client to award contracts to vendors and contractors.•Plan and requisition all required equipment and consumables per the schedule. Verification of availability of all materials and equipment.•Responsibilities include serving as project liaison between operations and construction; responsible for coordinating the activities of all contractors to meet the project cost and schedule commitments; overall field responsibility for assigned projects from mobilization through systems turnover; working with procurement and with fabrication shops to identify field priorities for delivery. •Progress work activities and review any RFI or delays that occur. Responsibilities include serving as project liaison between engineering, operations, and construction; participating in constructability reviews during all stages of the project; responsible for coordinating the activities of all crafts to meet the project cost and schedule commitments; overall field responsibility for assigned projects from mobilization through systems turnover; working with procurement and with fabrication shops to identify field priorities for delivery; working with BP’s heavy equipment group in order to obtain lift plans and critical lift procedures; assisting craft superintendents to develop requests for information and with project engineers to obtain approvals.

•Day to day coordination of the direct hire work force. Accountable for first line supervisors and crew members.•Plan and requisition all required small tools, equipment and consumables per the schedule. Verification of availability of all materials, tools and equipment.
