Overall responsibility for guiding the long-term strategic development and institutional capacity building of Habitat affordable housing entities working through and with the private sector, including microfinance, capital markets and advisory services. Mobilized over $20 million of capital in Asia for innovation and expansion of housing through debt and equity finance partners. Started MicroBuild India Plc, a regulated Housing Finance Company, and AFHTAC, an Indian housing advisory company. Expanded advisory services to India, Cambodia, Philippines and Sri Lanka, with regional clients including the IFC and Bayer Material Sciences, and several leading local financial institutions. Advised on investment of $28 million in affordable home mortgages. Recruited, trained and supervised Market Development team. Managed CRS’s largest microfinance program in Africa. Provided technical assistance to programs in Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, Ghana, and the Gambia. Developed and implemented a new delivery model to increase outreach from 12,000 to 50,000 micro-entrepreneurs in five years. Developed institutional relationships with the Ministries of Finance, West African Central Bank, regional development bank, international donors and local NGO partners. Awarded $2.75 million grant from USAID.
