I teach classes, mentor and coach students, and develop curricula for professional higher education admissions tests, mainly the MCAT (medicine), DAT (dentistry), OAT (optometry), PCAT (pharmacy).-Provide instruction in an engaging, conversational style, adapting to the needs of individuals and groups ranging from 6 to over 100 students.-Teach in an interactive online environment via Adobe Connect web conferencing software as well as in a traditional, in-person classroom.-Specialties include science content often considered “scary”, such as organic chemistry and physics, as well as test-specific, goal-oriented strategies for increasing standardized test scores.-Tutor students one-on-one to identify and strengthen individual content and strategy weaknesses.-Provide mentoring and timely email support to hundreds of students at a time.-Present and provide support to potential customers during events geared towards driving sales of test-prep courses-Worked as part of a team creating and editing lessons and books for the 2016 PCAT revision

I performed research into the human humoral response to influenza A virus infection and vaccination, while completing the coursework required for a PhD in Immunology.-Conducted experiments under Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) and in clean animal facilities, in order to assess influenza-specific memory B cell frequencies and antibody titers.-Techniques included human and mouse tissue processing, cell culture, multi-color flow cytometry, ELISPOT, ELISA, electrophoresis, Western blotting, PCR, DNA/RNA/protein extraction, and HPLC, among others.
