I founded Henergy as sole director in January 2021 after years of investigating southeast SA hydrogen and many months of support from a range of top engineering and geoscience consultants during 2020.

Since 2003 I have performed simulation studies on dozens of reservoirs of widely-varying type (gas reservoirs with and without natural waterdrive, for primary depletion and gas storage; oil reservoirs on primary depletion, waterflood or gas injection EOR). In 2011/12 I helped Santos’ Unconventional Reservoir Group with unlocking multi-tcf potential gas resources in siltstone, shale and deep coal.I have done a few consulting jobs away from Australia, mainly in Egypt and Myanmar. I was involved in most aspects of exploration and production, commercial as well as technical, from evaluating acquisitions and exploration prospects to organising/supervising jobs (eg workovers and production tests) on operated fields (onshore Otway and Perth Basin). For 6 months in 1998 and 1999 I performed a large reservoir simulation study on the 22-well Kenmore Oil Field operated by sister company OCA (then 85% Boral-owned). At WAPET for 1.5 years I worked as reservoir engineer for Barrow Island, at that time a 25-year-old field with 500 producing wells (almost all fracture stimulated) and 200 water injectors. Along with reserves analysis and production forecasting I was involved in many projects including testing of many types of wells, conversions to injection, EOR screening,.... I worked in California for 5 weeks gaining Chevron approval for the subsurface plan for the $180 million Roller/Skate Development which involved 8 horizontal producing wells, natural edge water drive (Roller) and injection-assisted gas cap drive (Skate). I worked for 1.3 years as reservoir engineer for offshore fields, mainly on Roller and Skate but also on other fields.My last year at WAPET was spent as a production engineer for Barrow Island, including several months in the field. I worked in hydraulic fracturing, acidising, artificial lift, injection well logging and completions for oil and gas producing wells and water injectors. Show less
