Patrick McCauley, a Connecticut native received his BS Industrial Design from the University of Bridgeport in 1986. He is currently the Industrial Designer and 3D Fabrication Lab Director for Centerbrook Architects, where he is responsible for designing and fabricating fine furniture, lighting, samples, and diverse architectural specialties as well as creating highly detailed presentation models. He also wrangles, inspires and brow-beats a group of architects as they build a chair of their own design. Additionally he is continually improving, maintaining, fixing and evolving a state-of-the-art, in-house fabrication lab that offers traditional and advanced means of making. Our shop offers multiple 3D printers, a CNC router, a laser cutter as well as the tools and equipment of a traditional prototype shop.Prior to joining Centerbrook, Patrick owned and operated Patrick McCauley Design, a design and prototype consultancy. He has also worked in exhibition design, theatrical prop design, toy and juvenile product design.Patrick has also been an instructor at the University of Bridgeport, Industrial Design Department and an advisor to many of the architectural staff at Centerbrook.
