-Perform a variety of law enforcement and crime prevention tasks, investigative work, special assignments, technical and administrative tasks in support of the Police Department, while protecting the lives and property of the citizens of College Station through the enforcement of federal, state and municipal laws codes and ordinances.-Participate in a variety of law enforcement activities which include, but not limited to, arresting offenders and suspects for traffic and criminal offenses, preparing for and appearing in court for criminal, civil, and other law enforcement related matters, enforcing traffic laws, investigating traffic accidents, directing traffic (when necessary), serving civil and criminal papers, guarding and transporting prisoners and responding to emergency calls (accidents, burglaries, prowlers, etc.).-Respond to calls for assistance, policy enforcement, medical help, or safety; collect information, assist with possible medical emergencies, and determine need for further action; perform lifesaving procedures when necessary; physically apprehend and search suspects utilizing appropriate techniques and maneuvers; and conduct security checks on commercial buildings and residences.-Patrol an assigned area by car, motorcycle, bicycle, or on foot to discourage crime, maintaining responsibility and accountability for assigned geographic area.-Perform and assist in criminal investigations, secure crime scenes and preserve evidence, and cooperate with other law enforcement agencies in matters relating to the apprehension of offenders and the investigation of offenses.-Build and maintain effective partnerships with community groups and members and respond to requests and inquiries from citizens concerning laws and City ordinances.-Prepare and submit reports on crimes and activities.-Perform related duties as assigned, to include assisting other Police officers in conducting assigned duties and responsibilities as necessary.

-Read, reviews, and properly apply information found in offender records which is related to the offender’s health and safety and to the security of the facility; provide leadership and technical guidance to other staff; comply with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; enforce offender disciplinary rules; and prepare and maintain records, forms, and reports.-Responsible for the care and custody of assigned offenders through knowledge of and adherence to laws, rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures.-Conduct searches for contraband and provides security; counts, feeds, and supervises offenders in housing, work, and other areas accessed by stairs; and maintains security of assigned areas.-Provided custody and security of offenders including observing actions of offenders, squatting and bending to conduct “pat” and “strip” searches of offenders, restraining and securing sometimes assaultive offenders, and transferring and transporting offenders by walking or riding in various vehicles such as trailers, vans, buses, and other forms of transportation. -Supervise and provide security of offenders performing technical skills such as construction, maintenance, laundry, food service, and in varied industrial and agricultural operations which involve climbing stairs and ladders and climbing around the inside or outside of buildings; working outdoors and indoors without air conditioning; working around motorized or moving equipment and machinery; and subject to all types of weather. -Responding to emergencies, including climbing stairs and ladders while searching for escaped offenders, hearing calls for and calling for help, giving first aid at the emergency site, carrying an injured or unconscious offender or employee various distances to safety up or down stairs and ladders; and uses force and deadly force, including the use of chemical agents and firearms, to control offenders.

-Supervise diversified duties related to instructional systems design; analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation for the resident schools with an emphasis on Corporals, Sergeants, Staff Sergeants, and gunnery Sergeants Courses.-Participate in task analysis to produce learning outcomes at a level appropriate and tailored to the specific target population for each course.-Produce reviews, and/or evaluations of selected lessons within the education continuum to ensure educational soundness, effectiveness of phasing, scope, sequencing, methodology, prerequisites, and attainment of overall learning outcomes.-Provide subject matter expertise on the development of non-military occupational specialties, specifically related curriculum for all programs of instruction.-Develop courseware using alternative teaching methods and techniques to empower faculty advisors to create a student-centered approach to learning.-Perform other duties associated with enlisted professional military education operations as required.

-Serve as the senior enlisted advisor to the Company Commander.-Execute and supervise clerical and administrative requirements for personnel management across all war fighting functions.-Assist the Company and Battalion staff with preparing, conducting and exploiting all training in accordance with Systems Approach to Training (SAT), Unit Training Management (UTM), and the Infantry Training and Readiness (T&R) manual.-Prepare, coordinate, and assist the Company Commander with the conduct of commendatory and disciplinary actions pertaining to the Company's personnel.-Advise and assist the Company Commander with supervising the Company's family readiness program and Force Preservation Program (FPP).-Supervise, coordinate, and report Dental and Medical readiness for the Company.-Enforce troop welfare, discipline, and performance within the Company.-Promote a command climate that demands initiative and small unit leadership.-Teach-coach-mentor (TCM) the officers, Staff Non-Commissioned officers, Non-Commissioned officers, Marines, and Sailors of the Company.-Advise the Company Commander on the discipline, appearance, conduct, and welfare of the Company.-Advise, coordinate, and track Company training, operational, and logistical support across the Warfighting functions.-Serve as the senior enlisted technical and tactical advisor to the Company Commander.-Coordinate and supervise the embarkation/debarkation for deployment of the Company.-Coordinate and supervise the maintenance, accountability, condition, and care of the company's weapons, equipment, communication assets, and assigned vehicles.-Advise/aid the Company Commander and Executive Officer in company planning, preparing, executing, and assessing (PPEA) of all training in accordance with the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) manual, Unit Training Manual (UTM), and the Infantry Training and Readiness (T&R).-Assist the Commander in conducting operational risk management.

-Manage day to day operations of Marine Corps Institute Company; specifically, ensure coordination between the Logistics Division, Student Services Division (SSD), Information Technology Department (ITD), Distance Learning and Technologies Department, and Company Headquarters on all matters.-Coordinate and provide all logistical support for Marine Corps Institute Company.-Coordinate all annual/semi-annual training requirements with Marine Barracks 8th and I Operations.-Coordinate with Washington Navy Yard facilities and ensure proper maintenance, upkeep, and cleanliness of buildings 169, 220, and surrounding areas.-Serve as Marine Corps Institute Company Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) Officer, coordinate with outside agencies as required.-Coordinate with Marine Barracks 8th and I Washington Operations Section in the fulfillment of tasks assigned to Marine Corps Institute Company; to include ceremonial hosting duties, Dover Dignified Transfers, and Arlington National Cemetery road guar assignments.-Assume the duties of the First Sergeant in his absence.-Serve as a ceremonial host for Marine Barracks Washington parades and ceremonies.-Serve as the Marine Corps Institute Company point of contact for all Birthday Ball duties and tasks.

-Assist Platoon Commander in the tactical and technical planning of Platoon operations and training and supervise the execution of the plan.-Directly responsible to the Platoon Commander and assume command of the platoon in the absence of the Platoon Commander.-Responsible for leading elements of the platoon as directed by the Platoon Commander.-Responsible for maintaining the discipline of the Platoon.-Responsible for the accountability/maintenance of all vehicles, equipment, and weapons that belong to the platoon.-Responsible for the administrative matters of the platoon.-Responsible for the development of subordinate leaders.-Accurately account for Platoon Marines, weapons, and equipment on a daily basis.-Advise Platoon Commander on discipline, control, conduct, and welfare of the platoon.-Constantly monitor and anticipate the logistical needs of the platoon.-Supervise the daily routine of the platoon in both garrison and field environments.
