Pat is an environmental professional with over 30 years experience in environmental assessment and natural resources management from project management and delivery to field studies and report writing. He has extensive experience in environmental assessment beginning with a Master’s degree on the topic and most recently as the project manager for the Bipole III Transmission Project. He has a multidisciplinary background in many natural resource and socio economic disciplines essential to conducting comprehensive and thorough environmental assessments. His extensive experience includes fish and aquatic science, water quality, hydrology, terrestrial biology, soils and agriculture, public and Aboriginal engagement, regulatory approvals, and environmental protection and management. He also an accomplished technical writer producing documents for resource agencies and regulators as well as public materials on a variety of natural resource and environment topics from groundwater to fish habitat.He has shared his multi-disciplinary skill set on international projects by providing training and capacity building in environmental assessment. From 2003-2006 he lead the environment portfolio for irrigation development on a CIDA project in Tigray, Ethiopia.
