Sales for Mid-Atlantic and Northeast

Responsible for all sales activities for 13 state NE region.

Outside sales of construction equipment covering 5 Maryland counties and Washington DC.

Provide support to territory managers and company accounts. Solicit and input whole goods orders, ensuring orders are allocated and shipped in a timely manner. Manage all sales activities for Canadian distributors. Work on various projects including quarterly sales programs, new dealer programs, and mainstreaming company data reporting processes. Forecast monthly and quarterly sales through collaboration with territory managers. Move or sell aged inventory and company floor plan units. Learn all aspects of the business in preparation for transitioning into an outside territory sales role.

Cultivate relationships with approximately 220 existing dealers in five-state Southeast region. Prospect for potential customers via cold telephone calls and face to face meetings, setting up eight new dealers during my time with the company. Through extensive travel, meet with dealers to discuss their current and future sales needs. Promote current sales programs and ensure dealer comprehension. Act as a liaison between dealers and the company to resolve issues when they arise.

Manage accounts and increase sales in multi-million dollar multi-state territory. Forecast sales in territory for upper management. Coordinate and oversee training of dealer personnel. Attend trade shows and promote current and future products. Supervise the closure of accounts that become past due. Formulate initial orders for new dealers according to past area sales histories and future forecasts.

Receive and enter all new orders for whole goods. Assure existing customer satisfaction and rectify the situation if not. Improve company communications to the dealer and field sales force. Support the sales force through inventory management of both dealer and company stocks.
