Served as one of five department heads within the staff of an 800-person organization. Personally responsible for the training and welfare of three employees, and indirectly responsible for the mentorship and training of 10 junior leaders. Primary adviser to senior leaders within the organization for all supply chain and logistics functions. Responsible for all matters of logistics and purchasing to include budgeting, resourcing, contracting, transportation, and property management. • Developed a $24M annual budget and contracted an additional $3.8M in resources, managing expenditures across 5 departments over 41 training events; successfully developed systems that eliminated more than $22M of excess and waste from the organization.• Identified and eliminated inefficiencies in a major series of transactions that reduced cost and lead time by 88%. • Analyzed organizational artifacts from previous training events to develop logistical forecasts and distribution plans to sustain 800 individuals and 84 vehicles across five geographically separate locations resulting in zero losses in training hours or vehicle downtime. Integration of these logistical management plans into overall organization training strategies led to being rated as the #1 of 7 managers in the organization.• Managed investigations on 26 separate occasions to account for $1.2M in lost or damaged property.

Adviser to the Brigade Commander of an armored brigade combat team while deployed to Southeast Asia. Responsible for coordinating with 14 subordinate organizations to deliver efficient solutions to the commander, managing and executing various special projects, composing correspondences and speeches for the commander, and facilitating transitions for senior leaders.• Developed the strategic charter for a 5,000-employee enterprise that guided the operational planning, logistics management, and community outreach of the organization over the next five years.• Spearheaded the redevelopment of an exclusive mentorship program; created a governance structure and charter to integrate and unlock the unique abilities of 35 decentralized leaders to form an elite team that advised senior leaders on soldier issues, mentored junior leaders, and provided strategic continuity in the organization.• Networked with more than ten former senior commanders to reestablish a professional relationship based on the lineage of the brigade by creating and publishing a portfolio displaying recent accomplishments by the organization.

Facilitated relationships between the General and other executives in outside organizations, prioritizing obligations to ensure the efficient completion of all activities. Relied upon as a trusted adviser in accomplishing the organization's intent.• Selected over 16 top-tier candidates to serve as Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive of a 26,000-employee organization.• Managed relationships and operations with external stakeholders including military leaders, government agencies and community leaders.• Coordinated transportation and logistics to facilitate participation in 12 events across the country.• Rated the #1 junior officer in the Executive’s 29 years of service.

Second-in-command of a 148-person infantry company, responsible for planning and coordinating all logistics within the organization. Responsible for managing property valued over $71 million, maintaining the capability of all vehicles, weapons, and communications equipment, and advising the commander on all operations. Direct supervisor for three employees, and an indirect mentor to eight other junior leaders.• Anticipated demand and resourced over $600,000 in contracts for commodities, services, and equipment to ensure the continuous flow of 20 training events with no logistical interruption.• Created and integrated new systems to maintain the readiness of $71M of equipment, including a training program to implement these systems; resulted in a 33% reduction in maintenance processing time and a readiness rate that exceeded the 90% Army standard, with systems remaining in place long after departure.• Oversaw the mobilization and transportation of all vehicles and equipment from Fort Riley, KS to Fort Irwin, CA to facilitate a 30-day training exercise, resulting in no loss of equipment or degradation of capability to the organization.

Deputy operational planner for an 800-person battalion in Africa and in Kansas. Wrote more than 10 operational reports to synchronize events that shaped the effectiveness of the organization to close out the fiscal year. Additionally responsible for coordinating the movement of all equipment from Africa to Fort Riley, managing $30 million of equipment with no loss to the organization.• Directed a cross-functional team of senior leaders from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and State Department to fundamentally overhaul the training and implementation of an international response team; decreased the team’s international mobilization and response time by 30%.• Developed the operational plan for a two-month training exercise for six subordinate organizations of an 800-person organization, consisting of training on six different vehicle platforms and more than 15 technical systems.

Led a 40-person mechanized infantry platoon in the US and in Africa, operating in austere environments in 4 different countries. Responsible for managing all 40 employees, providing direction and training all employees to meet the intent of the organization, maintaining $14 million of vehicles and equipment, and facilitating the movement of the organization's property to and from the African continent twice. Led the platoon through the training cycle in Kansas, participated in a 4-week training event in South Africa in coordination with the South African Army, and deployed the platoon to Djibouti and further to South Sudan.• Led a 40-person team to evacuate the US Embassy in South Sudan, facilitating the evacuation of more than 3,700 civilians from the region; coordinated with the US Department of State and US Marine Corps to safeguard the US Embassy and American civilians for five weeks.• Selected ahead of 13 peers by the senior commander to represent the United States as a liaison to the South African Army, responsible for leading and advising under the command of a South African senior officer; provided direct training and support to South African allies to prepare for operations in Southern Africa.(Time covered includes the Infantry Basic Officer’s Leadership Course, Ranger School, and Airborne School)
