Specialize in Pre-sales activities, acting as the technical subject matter expert on Spirent's products, solutions, and services, understanding customer requirements, determining the best solutions; and effectively communicating the value proposition of those solutions to target customers.primary focus is to drive technical end-to-end solutions into Spirent's clients as part of an integrated sales team. Pre-sales activities include solution development, technical presentations, design documentation creation, assisting with technical questions or concerns during the sales process. Frequently participating in the project specification process, acting as liaison between Spirent's sales/business development and engineering groups, and leading key customer proof of concepts in addition to direct customer engagement in support of the sales team's objectives.Job Responsibilities:• Support the Regional Sales Managers and partners as a technical GoTo person to drive and own the technical part of an opportunity.• Provide direct pre-sales support to key customers.• Understand customer business needs and be able to reflect business benefit through proposed solutions using a consultative approach.• Tailor Spirent product presentations and provide technical demonstrations to customers to help obtain sales objectives.• Effectively work with internal/external teams to anticipate and qualify customer needs.• Identify customer requirements and communicate these requirements/feature requests to Product Marketing.• Provide post-sales support and on-going customer training, as required.• Work with Spirent Support and Engineering teams to help solve customer issues, as required.• Identify customer requirements and communicate these requirements/feature requests to Product Marketing.• Provide post-sales support and on-going customer training, as required.

Attend and conduct train/metro/bus surveys and deliver a post survey report and present to bid team with recommendations• Compile specification, assess and evaluate third party quotes for installation, metalwork and design activities to support bid requirementsand project deliverables• Develop project program/plan for all stages and identify key resources• Provide content and detailed written descriptions to support the deployment of the solution, promoting rail engineering capabilities andaligning to best practice and rail approvals and standards• Identify all delivery documentation and training requirements• Respond to typical bid clause by clause documents for delivery related requirements• Produce supporting project management proposal and collateral material ensuring the content capturing plan supports strategy to win• Capture all delivery related cost drivers to support the project deliverables within required timelines while meeting quality and profittargets• Escalate and seek approval as per internal policies, processes and guidelines• Proactive contact with bid managers and directors to ensure delivery related issues and opportunities are identified in a timely manner atbid stage, diffusing when necessary, escalating as appropriate• Identify, assess and mitigate delivery related risks at bid stage• Liaise with procurement to co-ordinate lead times with third party suppliers• Support bid sign offs• Support bid presentations to potential customers• Support Handovers from Sales to Delivery• Maintain project related bid documentation and downloadable templates in the Bid Library
